About The Position

Broadcom is seeking a Physical IC Design Engineer for the Data Center Solutions Group at its main campus in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The position supports PCIe Switch Products and Enterprise Storage Products, contributing to next-generation AI/ML ecosystems and the management of mega datacenters. It requires in-depth knowledge of physical design across the process from RTL to silicon tape-out. The role must be performed in person at the Colorado Springs site; remote work is not allowed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience.
• TCL/PERL scripting skills.
• Proficiency with related EDA tools.
• Experience with the full physical design cycle from RTL to tape-out.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• In-depth experience in top-level STA.
• Experience with custom clock trees, insertion reduction, and skew-balancing techniques.
• In-depth experience in top-level floorplanning.

Responsibilities

• Execute physical design, synthesis, physical verification, and timing closure.
• Set up and synthesize RTL.
• Achieve timing closure using a range of methods and strategies, including top-level STA.
• Perform EM/IR analysis.
• Perform place and route.
• Perform clock tree synthesis, including custom clock trees, insertion reduction, and skew-balancing techniques.
• Perform floor-planning and layout, including top-level floorplanning.
• Develop flows and methodologies.
• Collaborate with IC Design RTL Engineers.
