About The Position

The Retrofit Estimator gathers project information from account managers, end users, engineering and estimating teams, vendors, and other sources. The role interprets field conditions to determine project direction and develops costs for large-scale mechanical retrofit projects, including projects without drawings, plans, or specifications. The estimator also interprets customer drawings, specifications, and requirements to formulate quotation strategies, collaborating with estimating, engineering, and sales teams to analyze customer needs and develop strategies for quotations. A working knowledge of the California Mechanical Code and local municipal codes is required.

Requirements

• Mechanical engineering degree and equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of experience estimating HVAC retrofits or retrofit field experience.
• Working knowledge of the California Mechanical Code and local municipal codes.

Responsibilities

• Gather information for each estimating job by communicating with account managers, end users, engineering and estimating teams, vendors, and other sources.
• Interpret field conditions to determine project direction and provide costs for large-scale mechanical retrofit projects, including when drawings, plans, or specifications are unavailable.
• Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and requirements to formulate quotation strategies.
• Work with estimating, engineering, and sales departments to analyze customer requirements and develop a strategy for each quotation.
