Retail Team Member Sales - Granbury
About The Position
The Retail Team Member Sales associate works at Goodwill North Central Texas’s Granbury store. The role manages point-of-sale transactions, credit card processing, and cash, and answers telephone calls. It provides friendly, courteous, and attentive customer service, greets customers promptly, and helps them select and locate merchandise. The associate maintains hangers and textile sizing on the sales floor, returns empty racks and carts to the production area, restocks merchandise, maintains the overall appearance of the sales floor, and performs necessary cleaning throughout the store. Other duties may be assigned. The store is open seven days a week, from 8 AM to 7 PM; open schedule availability is preferred.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience in a work or educational setting demonstrating the ability to interact positively with the public or a team.
- Proficiency in basic math and the ability to read and write.
- Ability to operate computerized equipment, including a POS system, credit card draft terminal, and pricing system.
- Ability to meet quotas and make pricing decisions based on product quality.
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and associates.
- Physical stamina to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to walk, stand for prolonged periods, stoop, reach up to six feet using a ladder if needed, and push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds; heavier lifting may be required with assistance.
- Sufficient mobility to work in any area of the facility.
- Documentation satisfying I-9 requirements, and successful completion of a background check, drug screen, and physical examination.

Responsibilities
- Accurately operate the POS system and credit card terminal and handle cash.
- Answer telephones.

- Assist customers on the sales floor in selecting and locating merchandise.
- Maintain hangers and the sizing of textiles on the sales floor.
- Return empty racks and carts to the production area.
- Restock depleted merchandise.
- Maintain the overall appearance of the sales floor.
- Perform necessary cleaning functions in all areas of the store.
- Perform other duties as requested.
