About The Position
The Shoe Expeditor processes new merchandise and recovers the shoe sales area while maintaining high customer service and presentation standards. The role includes supporting inventory accuracy, merchandise setup and replenishment, order fulfillment, and upkeep of a clean, orderly, easy-to-shop store environment. The associate also assists customers when approached and performs other duties as needed.
Requirements
- No education or experience required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
- Resourcefulness and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stoop, distinguish colors, and climb ladders as needed.
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to handle heavy and/or bulky items and sharp items such as box cutters and scissors.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld electronic equipment.
Responsibilities
- Recover the shoe sales floor and scan inventory back into stock.
- Maintain shoe inventory accuracy through correct scanning and placement.
- Receive and process new merchandise.
- Assist with moving tables and fixtures for new merchandise, seasonal changes, clearance sets, and special events.
- Set up shoe displays for new merchandise, seasonal changes, clearance sets, and special events.
- Pull orders from stock and stage them for selling colleagues.
- Fulfill shoe orders.
- Process damages and returns to vendors and shoe jobbers.
- Replenish displays and other products as needed.
- Assist with markdowns and seasonal inventory.
- Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the shoe sales area.
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service when approached.
- Maintain customer-ready standards by keeping the store clean, neat, and easy to shop.
- Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Perform other duties as needed.
