Retail Supervisor, Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge
About The Position
The Retail Supervisor at Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge works closely with the Retail Manager to support store operations and provide efficient, courteous guest service. The role includes managing cash, employee attendance, revenue assurance, and store opening and closing. The supervisor also helps train, develop, and motivate employees; educates guests about products and services; orders, receives, and maintains inventory; and ensures daily and weekly store and employee tasks are completed. This is a full-time seasonal position for Spring/Summer 2027, beginning in February 2027. The starting wage is $19.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail and guest services.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Retail Manager in managing cash, employee attendance, revenue assurance, and store opening and closing.
- Assist guests and ensure efficient, courteous service.
- Assist in employee training, development, and motivation.
- Educate guests on products and services.
- Order, receive, and maintain inventory.
- Ensure completion of daily and weekly tasks for the store and employees.
