About The Position

This part-time position is open to internal candidates only. The Retail Supervisor helps develop the sales team, maximize store sales, and deliver an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment. The role leads by example, supports store operations, and helps maintain Lakeshore’s customer service, presentation, safety, and operational standards. A background in education is not required; a desire to learn is essential.

Requirements

At least 1 year of related retail management experience.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Knowledge of retail POS systems.
Passion for excellent customer service.
Positive and proactive approach to management and teamwork.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
Ability to demonstrate company standards and reinforce them with the team.

Responsibilities

Support recruitment and development of the sales team.
Support training and development of new sales associates.
Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members.
Help drive workplace engagement and motivation within the store.
Exceed customer service expectations and empower the team to follow customer service protocols.
Seek and communicate customer feedback about product use at school and at home.
Build lasting relationships with customers.
Train staff on new products and promotions.
Monitor and maintain expectations for store presentation, retail policies and procedures, cleanliness, and safety.
Assist with inventory management and stock control.
Support cash handling and reconciliation processes.
Serve as a keyholder and support opening and closing the store and cash registers.
Assist with employee scheduling and payroll approvals to support optimal staffing.
Support sales initiatives, promotional activities, and store outreach programs that raise awareness and foster relationships.
