About The Position
The Retail Store Manager (RSM) works in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and serves as a connection between customers and the T-Mobile brand. The role calls for enthusiasm about the wireless industry and its devices and plans, along with a focus on building lasting relationships with customers and colleagues. The manager oversees store operations, team performance, sales results, inventory, customer service, compliance, and the store environment. This is a full-time role requiring a minimum of 45 hours per week.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of experience in a T-Mobile or other wireless retail environment.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Operational and financial performance management skills, particularly site P&L management.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with web browsers, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a retail environment.
- Full-time availability of at least 45 hours per week.
- Professional, energetic, honest, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to problem-solve, analyze results, plan for the future, make sound decisions, stay organized, advocate for change, think strategically, build relationships, and coach and develop others.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand for long periods on the sales floor.
- Ability to move and/or lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by greeting customers, answering phones, and assessing customer needs.
- Oversee all store operations, including staffing, employee performance management, opening and closing, service levels, and inventory.
- Drive monthly revenue goals by acquiring new customer accounts, maximizing existing accounts, identifying revenue opportunities, and meeting quality metrics.
- Lead by example by exceeding sales goals and performance metrics.
- Hire, develop, motivate, and manage a high-performing team.
- Manage inventory, product shipments, customer returns, trade-in devices, demo devices, and store supplies.
- Ensure compliance with audits and paperwork security requirements.
- Manage cash, credit cards, other payment methods, and register operations.
- Maintain the store, back room, restrooms, and work area according to retail standards.
- Provide consultative sales and service on the sales floor.
- Translate business initiatives into clear team expectations and individual goals, coordinating with other groups as needed.
- Share accountability for routine and important tasks and decisions.
- Monitor team progress and results, provide ongoing coaching, and make difficult decisions when appropriate.
- Stay current with evolving wireless technology.
- Explore customer needs and assist with service activations, account changes, bill payments, equipment replacement, accessory sales, price plan changes, and upgrades.
- Build relationships with TCC Wireless employees and customers across business channels.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Represent the company at community events and foster a positive brand image.
