About The Position

Retail Store Associates support CVS Health's customer-focused retail operations and contribute to the company's goal of improving health care experiences. The role involves working independently and as part of a team to assist customers, maintain store operations, and support departments including photo, beauty, and pharmacy. Associates may work regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development. The position is part-time, with an anticipated 25 hours per week and required availability for the specified shifts. Every weekend is required, and shift times are not flexible.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to remain upright on one's feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.
• Availability for the required shift schedule; shift times are not flexible and every weekend is required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, showing compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer assistance locating items.
• Accurately perform cashier duties, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, ensuring they are stocked and operational and staying current on services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers' health.
