About The Position

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you will work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. You will help provide a quick and easy customer experience while keeping the store clean and clutter-free. Depending on business needs, you may work in different areas of the store, maintaining the sales floor and stockrooms and helping customers find merchandise. Roles are available in the Stock department; applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and customer service work includes keeping the sales floor stocked, sized, and organized through re-merchandising and straightening; assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms; supporting fitting room experiences; sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor; organizing stockrooms; checking in and ticketing merchandise; using store technologies; following operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards; and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock support and fulfillment work includes receiving and unloading freight, unpacking and delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems to process and research shipments, maintaining clean and organized floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as setting up events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The role requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and use of hands. Employees handle bulky or awkward items, regularly lift up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Stock and Fulfillment employees frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The listed hourly pay range is $16.45–$17.15. Pay offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor runway-ready, stocked, sized, and organized through re-merchandising and straightening.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using point-of-sale systems; bag items and handle bulky or heavy merchandise.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments according to inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
