About The Position

Nordstrom Rack team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy store environment, collaborating to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and provide customers with a quick, easy experience. They help keep the store clean and clutter-free and may work in different areas, including Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment. Applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service work includes keeping the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening, assisting customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, supporting fitting room operations, sorting and returning clothing, organizing stockrooms, checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational and asset-protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment work includes receiving and processing freight and merchandise, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems to process and research shipments, maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as event setup, markdowns, backroom organization, and relocating fixtures.

Ability to move continuously for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor runway ready by re-merchandising, sizing, filling in, and straightening merchandise throughout the day.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using point-of-sale systems; bag items and handle bulky or heavy items.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Sort and return clothing to the sales floor to maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and in accordance with quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory-control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, processing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
