About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a music enthusiast and sales-focused Sr. Sales Associate to create welcoming customer experiences, help customers find instruments and gear, and contribute to store sales and team performance. The role includes maintaining strong customer relationships, sharing product knowledge, supporting colleagues, keeping the store organized, and assisting with store operations. As a keyholding team member, the associate may open and close the store as needed. Pay is $14.32–$17.90 per hour plus commission, depending on background and experience; actual compensation may vary.

Requirements

• Passion for music and a solid understanding of various instruments and products.
• Proven sales track record and ability to exceed targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and strong organizational skills.

• Willingness to work additional hours if needed, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment and help customers find instruments and gear suited to their musical interests.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets through upselling and cross-selling.
• Maintain expert knowledge of products, including guitars and recording equipment, and help improve colleagues' product knowledge.
• Build customer relationships and help fellow associates foster relationships with customers and the local music community.
• Organize displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
• Guide and mentor team members and support them with customer interactions and operational tasks.
• Open and close the store as needed as a keyholding team member.
