About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a Senior Sales Associate who is passionate about music and sales and can help create a welcoming, vibrant customer experience. The role involves helping customers find instruments and gear, achieving sales goals, sharing product knowledge, and building strong customer relationships. The Senior Sales Associate also supports and mentors other team members, helps with store operations, and serves as a keyholder who may open and close the store as needed. The position offers an hourly pay range of $19.84–$24.80 plus commission, depending on background and experience.

Requirements

• A proven track record in sales and the ability to exceed targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and strong organizational skills.

• Willingness to work additional hours if needed and work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment and help customers find gear that supports their musical interests.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets by upselling and cross-selling instruments and accessories.
• Maintain expert-level knowledge of products and help enhance the product knowledge of other team members.
• Build customer relationships and help fellow Associates foster relationships with the local music community.
• Organize displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
• Guide and mentor team members and support them with customer interactions and operational tasks.
• Open and close the store as needed as a keyholding team member.
