About The Position

The Retail Senior Associate provides enthusiastic customer service to shoppers and supports purchases in the store, ensuring customers have a positive experience. The associate learns about each customer’s needs and suggestively sells products they may enjoy, while embodying Simply Southern’s Vision, Mission, and Values. This position is for the company’s upcoming Paddock Mall store in Ocala, Florida, scheduled to open in December 2026. The role is in person and full-time. Retail experience is preferred but not required, and flexible availability is requested.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for 4–10 hours a day.
• Ability to climb ladders.
• Ability to work independently and stay self-motivated.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators.
• Flexible availability is requested.
• Customer service experience of one year is preferred, but not required.

Nice To Haves

• Retail experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of customer service experience.
