About The Position

United Security, Inc. is hiring a full-time Retail Security Officer for an overnight schedule. The officer protects property and people by monitoring and patrolling the assigned buildings and grounds, enforcing security regulations, and reporting safety or security concerns. The schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 12 a.m. to 9 a.m., and the pay rate is $20.60 per hour. Candidates must pass all pre-employment screenings.

Requirements

• Clean driving record and active driver's license.
• Ability to lift at least 15 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Excellent judgment.
• Ability to stay alert at all times.
• Successfully pass all pre-employment screenings.
• High school diploma.
• Driver's license certification.

Responsibilities

• Guard property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
• Patrol buildings and grounds to ensure doors are locked and secured.
• Preserve order and enforce security regulations.
• Watch for and report conditions that could result in injury or loss, including fire hazards, leaking pipes, spills, and faulty equipment.
• Use oral de-escalation methods to control disagreements.
• Perform other job duties as related or assigned by USI Management.
