About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Overnight Security Officer to help provide a safe environment through clear communication, patrols, confidentiality, and knowledge of company policies and procedures. Security Officers interact with guests and associates, patrol the property, answer resort questions, and enforce company policies and local laws. The role also includes operating security equipment properly and meeting hotel security standards. Officers check in with the shift supervisor and/or manager on duty, review daily security logs and reports, receive a handoff briefing from the outgoing dispatching officer about incidents and service needs, and review unresolved complaints. This is an hourly-wage role.

Requirements

General working knowledge of local, state, and federal laws.
CPR certified.
A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.

Nice To Haves

Previous law enforcement and/or security investigations experience.
Hotel or resort experience.

Responsibilities

Interact with guests and associates while patrolling, answering resort questions, and enforcing company policy and local law.
Provide security for Kalahari property, enforce laws and company policies, and deter illegal activities.
Maintain proper operation of security equipment and ensure hotel security standards are met.
Check in with the shift supervisor and/or manager on duty upon arrival and review security logs and reports daily.
Receive a briefing from the outgoing dispatching officer about incidents from the previous shift and areas where services may be needed.
Review current complaints that have not been answered.
