About The Position

The Retail Scan Associate performs weekly in-store data collection at assigned local retailers using a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan product barcodes throughout each store. Associates report to their assigned stores by specified deadlines and complete Display Scanning across the entire store each week. For about 45% of scanned products, they provide quantity information. Clients also request Custom Projects to collect more specific product details in main stocking locations; these projects occur almost every week and may add 1–2 hours of work per store in those weeks.

The position is permanent and part-time, averaging 6–9 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Work is scheduled at grocery stores in Webster Groves and Saint Louis, Missouri, on available days listed in the posting. The role includes weekly work throughout the year, including holiday weeks, and requires dependable, deadline-driven, detail-oriented work. It offers independence and some flexibility in scheduling, alongside continuous physical activity during shifts.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
