About The Position

This is a temporary custodial assignment in Webster Groves, ending in January 2027. The role maintains cleanliness and safety across various facilities to provide a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with pay of $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a fingerprint background check.
• TB test clearance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with cleaning techniques, tools, and materials.
• Proficiency in using routine cleaning equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms following established procedures.
• Dust and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers.
• Replace light bulbs and refill restroom dispensers.
• Assist with room setups for meetings, classrooms, and events.
• Strip, buff, and apply finish to hard-surface floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, extractors, and vacuums.
• Wash walls and equipment, using ladders as needed.
• Lock and unlock buildings and ensure facilities are secured when not in use.
