About The Position

The Retail Scan Associate performs in-store data collection at assigned local retailers each week throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Using a downloadable app on a mobile phone, the associate scans product barcodes at multiple locations throughout each store and provides quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned. The role includes weekly Display Scanning across the entire store, which can take several hours, as well as Custom Projects requested by clients, which occur almost every week and can add 1–2 hours of work per store in those weeks.

Associates must meet weekly deadlines and deliver accurate data. The position offers independent work and some flexibility in scheduling, subject to client requirements. Base hours average 8–10 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project hours are frequently assigned throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. The position is permanent and part-time.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
