About The Position

This permanent part-time position averages 6–8 base hours per week across assigned stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

Retail Scan Associates visit designated local retailers each week to collect in-store data. Using a downloadable app on a mobile phone, associates scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps, and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates complete display scanning throughout each assigned store every week, which can take several hours. Custom Projects, requested by clients for more detailed information about products in main stocking locations, occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to 2 hours per store. Associates must report to stores within the stated deadlines and complete work consistently throughout the year, including holiday weeks. The role involves continuous physical activity and offers independence and some flexibility in working hours, subject to client requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
