About The Position

This permanent part-time role involves weekly in-store data collection at assigned local retailers for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Retail Scan Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone to scan barcodes in various store locations and report quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

Associates complete Display Scanning throughout the store each week, which may take several hours. Clients also request Custom Projects for more detailed information about products in main stocking locations; these occur almost every week and may add 1–2 hours per store. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and provide dependable, detail-oriented work while working independently.

The base workload averages 5–7 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. The role offers some workplace independence and flexibility, and involves continuous physical activity throughout the workday shift.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with at least minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Tech savvy.
