About The Position

Retail Scan Associates perform weekly in-store data collection at assigned local retailers for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Using a downloadable app on a mobile phone, associates scan barcodes in locations throughout each store and provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned. The role includes weekly Display Scanning across the entire store, which can take several hours, and Custom Projects requested by clients, which occur almost every week and may add 1 to 2 hours of work per store during those weeks. Associates must report to stores within specified deadlines and deliver dependable, high-quality data. The position offers independence and some flexibility in scheduling, while involving continuous physical activity throughout the work shift. Base hours average 8–10 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project hours are frequently assigned during the year, with higher demand from January through June. The position is permanent and part-time.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
