About The Position

ScanScape is hiring a permanent part-time Retail Scan Associate to collect in-store product data at an assigned grocery store in Myrtle Point, Oregon. The associate visits the store weekly, scans product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps, and records quantities for about 45% of scanned products. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The role averages about 3 base hours per week, depending on store size and workload. Custom projects are frequently assigned and typically add 1–2 hours per week per store, with higher demand from January through June. The associate uses a downloadable app on a mobile phone and must meet weekly deadlines. The available workday is Wednesday or Thursday. Work continues throughout the year, including holiday weeks.

The position involves sustained physical activity and offers independence and some flexibility in scheduling, subject to personal availability and client requirements. Pay is $17 per hour, with travel paid at the hourly rate except for the first and last 15 minutes.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
