About The Position

ScanScape is hiring a permanent part-time Retail Scan Associate to collect in-store product data at assigned local retailers each week. Associates use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They also report quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The position covers assigned stores each week for 52 weeks per year, including holiday weeks. Base hours average 5–11 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Custom projects are requested almost every week and can add 1–2 hours per store; additional project hours are assigned throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Associates must meet weekly deadlines. Work offers independence and some flexibility in scheduling, subject to personal scheduling needs and client requirements. The role involves continuous physical activity during the workday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
