About The Position

ScanScape is hiring a permanent part-time Retail Scan Associate to collect in-store data at assigned local retailers. Associates visit designated stores each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks, and use a downloadable mobile phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. Associates are also asked to report quantities for about 45% of scanned products. The collected data is analyzed to help improve sales performance for products and retailers.

The base workload averages 3–4 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Display Scanning takes several hours to complete across the entire store each week. Custom Projects, requested by clients for more detail about products in main stocking locations, occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store in those weeks. Associates must meet weekly deadlines. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling, while requiring continuous physical activity throughout the workday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
