About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed to improve sales performance for products and retailers.

This permanent part-time role involves weekly in-store data collection at assigned local retailers for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Associates use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan barcodes throughout stores and provide quantity information for about 45% of scanned products. The work includes weekly display scanning, which can take several hours per store, and custom projects that occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to two hours per store.

Base hours average 6–10 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project hours are frequently assigned, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, with higher demand from January through June. Schedules are reviewed during the interview. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in hours, while requiring associates to meet weekly deadlines. Continuous physical activity is required throughout the workday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
