Retail Scan Associate (Ontario, OR 97914)

Circana•Ontario, OR

About The Position

ScanScape is hiring permanent, part-time Retail Scan Associates to collect in-store data at assigned local retailers each week throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. For about 45% of scanned products, associates also provide quantity information. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. The position averages 6–10 base hours per week across all assigned stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional special-project hours—typically 1–2 hours per week per store—are frequently assigned throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Custom Projects, which request more specific information about products in main stocking locations, occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store in those weeks. Full scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. Associates must report to stores within set deadlines and complete weekly display scans. The role offers independence and some flexibility in working hours, while requiring dependable, detail-oriented work and adherence to weekly deadlines. Stores may include grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise retailers, including national chains and independent stores. The listed route includes grocery in Vale on Wednesday or Thursday, convenience stores in Ontario Monday through Thursday, and a mass merchandiser in Ontario on Monday or Tuesday.
