About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit designated local stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. They use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan products throughout each store and provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

This permanent part-time position averages 6–14 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Work takes place at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Associates complete whole-store display scanning weekly, which can take several hours, and may also complete Custom Projects that add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store in a given week. Meeting weekly deadlines is critical. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling, while requiring continuous physical activity during the workday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach six feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
