About The Position

The Retail Scan Associate visits assigned local retail stores each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks, to collect in-store product data. Using a downloadable app on a mobile phone, the associate scans product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations throughout the store, including end caps. The associate also reports quantities for about 45% of scanned products. Collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The position averages 6–14 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional special projects are frequently assigned throughout the year, typically adding 1–2 hours per week per store, with higher demand from January through June. Custom Projects occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store during those weeks. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and complete store display scans, which can take several hours. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling, while requiring continuous physical activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
