About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of local stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. They use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan barcodes and provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates perform in-store data collection at assigned retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Weekly work includes scanning displays throughout the store, which can take several hours, and completing Custom Projects requested by clients. Custom Projects occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and deliver accurate data. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling, with continuous physical activity during the workday. This permanent part-time position averages 4–6 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Full scheduling details will be reviewed during the interview.
