About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retailers each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed and used to improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable app on a mobile phone and are asked to provide quantities for about 45% of scanned products.

Associates complete display scanning throughout each assigned store every week, which can take several hours. Custom Projects requesting more specific details about products in main stocking locations occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to 2 hours per store. Associates must meet weekly reporting deadlines. The route includes grocery, drug, and convenience stores in Madison and Monona, Wisconsin, with listed workdays Sunday through Thursday depending on the store. The role is permanent and part-time, averaging 4–6 base hours per week across all stores, with additional hours often assigned for special projects, particularly from January through June. Work is scheduled throughout the year, including holiday weeks.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
