About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to collect in-store data at assigned local retailers each week throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. For about 45% of scanned products, associates also report the quantity. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates complete weekly Display Scanning throughout the entire store, which may take several hours, and may also perform Custom Projects that provide more specific information about products in their main stocking locations. Custom Projects occur almost every week and can add one to two hours of work per store in those weeks. Associates must meet store deadlines and are expected to work dependably and accurately with independence.

This is a permanent part-time role. Base hours average 3–8 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. The listed route includes grocery and mass stores in Danvers, Massachusetts, and a pet store in Peabody, Massachusetts. Available workdays are Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. The work involves continuous physical activity during the shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach six feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
