About The Position

The Retail Scan Associate visits a designated selection of local retail stores each week to collect in-store product data using a downloadable mobile-phone app. The associate scans product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps, and reports quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates complete weekly Display Scanning throughout each assigned store, which can take several hours. Clients may also request Custom Projects, which occur almost every week and typically add one to two hours of work per store. Associates must meet weekly store deadlines throughout the year, including holiday weeks. The role involves independent work, some flexibility in scheduling, and continuous physical activity during shifts. Base hours average 6–13 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload; additional project hours are frequently assigned, with higher demand from January through June. Full scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
