About The Position

ScanScape is hiring a permanent part-time Retail Scan Associate to collect in-store product data at assigned local retailers each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They also report quantities for about 45% of scanned products. Collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The route includes stores in Hudson, Massachusetts, and Framingham, Massachusetts. Available workdays are Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday. Weekly work includes scanning displays throughout the store, which can take several hours, and may include Custom Projects that add 30 minutes to two hours per store in a given week. Associates must meet store deadlines and work independently. Base hours average 3–6 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Full scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in working hours. It involves continuous physical activity throughout the workday shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.

Responsibilities
