About The Position

The Retail Scan Associate visits an assigned selection of local retail stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan products and provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned.

Associates complete in-store data collection every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Display scanning covers the entire store and may take several hours. Custom Projects, which request additional product details in main stocking locations, occur almost every week and can add 1–2 hours per store in those weeks. Associates must meet assigned store deadlines and provide accurate, dependable work.

This is a permanent part-time role averaging 6–15 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours are frequently assigned for special projects, with demand typically higher from January through June. The route includes stores in Gardner, Leominster, Townsend, and Fitchburg, Massachusetts. The role offers independence and some flexibility in working hours, while requiring continuous physical activity during the workday shift.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable vehicle with at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to remain on one's feet for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Tech savvy.
