About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of local stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. Associates also provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned. Collected data is analyzed to improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates perform in-store data collection every week throughout the year, including holiday weeks, using a downloadable app on a mobile phone. Work includes weekly display scanning throughout the store, which can take several hours, and custom projects that are requested frequently and may add one to two hours per store. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and provide reliable, quality-driven work while working independently.

This is a permanent part-time role averaging 6–15 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project hours are frequently assigned, particularly from January through June. Routes include stores in Gardner, Leominster, Townsend, and Fitchburg, Massachusetts, with available workdays varying by store. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout stores.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
