About The Position

The Retail Scan Associate performs weekly in-store data collection at assigned local retailers throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores, scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations—including aisle end caps—and provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan barcodes throughout each store. Weekly work includes scanning displays across the entire store, which can take several hours, and completing Custom Projects requested by clients. Custom Projects occur almost every week and typically add 1–2 hours per store when assigned. Associates must meet store deadlines and deliver accurate, high-quality data while working independently.

This is a permanent part-time role. Base hours average 5–11 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Store visits must take place on the available workdays and within the stated deadlines. The position involves continuous physical activity throughout the workday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
