About The Position

The Retail Scan Associate visits assigned local retail stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps, using a downloadable app on a mobile phone. Associates also report quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

This is a permanent part-time role averaging 3–5 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional special-project work—typically 1–2 hours per week per store—is frequently assigned throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Custom Projects occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store. Associates must visit stores within specified deadlines and complete weekly Display Scanning, including during holiday weeks, for 52 weeks a year. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. The role involves continuous physical activity and offers some independence and flexibility in working hours.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven, self-starting approach.
• Access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Tech savvy.
