About The Position

ScanScape is hiring permanent part-time Retail Scan Associates to collect in-store data at assigned local retailers each week, year-round, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They also provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The work involves weekly store visits and meeting specified deadlines. Display scanning is performed throughout the entire store each week and may take several hours. Custom Projects, which gather more specific details about products in main stocking locations, occur almost every week and can add 1–2 hours per store in those weeks. Base hours average 5–9 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project hours are frequently assigned during the year, with higher demand from January through June. Full scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in hours, subject to personal scheduling needs and client requirements. Work involves continuous physical activity during the shift. The position is expected to remain open for approximately 30 days, but may close earlier if sufficient qualified candidates are identified.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Tech savvy.
