About The Position

The Unarmed Security Officer serves as a visible security presence and deterrent to crime and client policy violations. The officer monitors the assigned post for suspicious activity and threats to the physical assets, customers, and employees; patrols the facility exterior and parking area on foot as directed; and responds to security-related concerns. The role also requires prompt reporting of incidents, accidents, and medical emergencies, completion of required documentation and daily activity reports, and professional communication and appearance.

Responsibilities

• Stand post as instructed and provide a visible security presence and deterrent to crime and client policy violations.
• Detect suspicious activities and watch for criminal acts or client policy violations that may threaten physical assets, customers, or employees.
• Patrol the facility exterior and parking area on foot as directed by the client.
• Report incidents, accidents, and medical emergencies immediately to a supervisor.
• Address security-related complaints and complete required documentation.
• Maintain and complete daily activity reports.
• Maintain consistent performance, attendance, uniform appearance, and professional grooming.
• Communicate professionally with clients and customers.
• Maintain a proactive loss-prevention presence.
