About The Position

The Unarmed Security Officer provides a visible security presence and deterrent to crime and client policy violations. The officer stands assigned posts, monitors for suspicious activity and potential threats to physical assets, customers, and employees, and patrols the facility exterior and parking area on foot as directed. The role also includes reporting incidents and emergencies, addressing security-related complaints, completing required documentation and daily activity reports, and maintaining professional conduct and appearance. An active guard card is required.

Responsibilities

• Stand post as instructed and provide a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime and client policy violations.
• Detect suspicious activity and watch for criminal acts or client policy violations that could threaten physical assets, customers, or employees.
• Patrol the facility exterior and parking area on foot as directed by the client.
• Immediately report incidents, accidents, and medical emergencies to a supervisor.
• Address security-related complaints and complete required documentation.
• Maintain and complete daily activity reports.
• Maintain consistent performance and attendance, uniform appearance, and professional grooming.
• Communicate professionally with clients and customers.
• Maintain a proactive loss-prevention presence.
