About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to collect in-store data at assigned local retailers each week throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable app on their mobile phone to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They also report quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The role averages 4–9 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Special projects are frequently assigned and typically add 1–2 hours per week per store, with higher demand from January through June. Associates must meet weekly deadlines. The position offers independence and some flexibility in working hours, balanced with client requirements. The route listed is for grocery stores in Mission Viejo, California, with work available Wednesday or Thursday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for extended periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and be able to work independently.
• Be a dependable, deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.

Responsibilities
