About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retail stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan products and are asked to report quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

This permanent, part-time role involves weekly in-store data collection at assigned retailers throughout the year, including holiday weeks. The base workload averages 4–9 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Associates are expected to meet weekly deadlines and complete display scanning throughout the store, as well as custom projects that request more detailed product information. The designated route lists grocery stores in Mission Viejo, California, with work available Wednesday or Thursday.

The position offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling, balanced with continuous physical activity during work shifts and the need for dependable, quality-driven work. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. The position is expected to remain open for approximately 30 days, but may close earlier if enough qualified candidates are identified.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
