About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit designated local stores each week to collect in-store product data. Using a downloadable mobile phone app, they scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations throughout the store, including aisle end caps. For about 45% of scanned products, associates also provide quantity information. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates complete weekly Display Scanning across the entire store, which can take several hours. Clients frequently request additional details about products in main stocking locations through Custom Projects; these occur almost every week and can add 1–2 hours of work per store in those weeks. Associates must meet assigned store deadlines and perform work every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks.

This permanent part-time role averages 5–12 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project hours are frequently assigned throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling, subject to personal scheduling needs, client requirements, assigned deadlines, and store availability.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
