About The Position

The Retail Sales role is for an ideal salesperson who is passionate about fashion and styling and can cultivate and grow a customer following both digitally and in-store. The position involves meeting sales goals, providing customer service and styling feedback, developing product knowledge, and keeping the department ready for customers. Weekly hours and schedules vary based on business needs. The role may occasionally require performing duties in a department other than the one originally hired into.

• Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
• Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve in-store and digital sales goals using selling tools, including text and social media.
• Build lasting relationships with customers.
• Provide customer service on customers’ terms.
• Give customers honest and confident feedback about style and fit.
• Develop fashion and product knowledge.
• Help keep the department customer ready by filling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, processing price markdowns, and performing light cleaning.
• Grow customer relationships by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
