About The Position

The Retail Sales role is a seasonal position in Nordstrom’s Holiday Gift Shop at Westfarms. The ideal salesperson is passionate about fashion and styling and can cultivate and grow a customer following both digitally and in-store. Hours and schedule vary by week depending on business needs. The role may also require occasional flexibility to perform duties in a department other than the one hired into.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling using selling tools, including text and social media.
• Build lasting relationships with customers.
• Provide customer service on customers’ terms.
• Offer customers honest and confident feedback about style and fit.
• Develop fashion and product knowledge to build expertise.
• Keep the department customer-ready by filling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, processing price markdowns, and performing light cleaning.
• Grow customer relationships by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
