About The Position

The Retail Sales role is responsible for providing a superior customer service experience to walk-in and phone customers. The position greets customers, assists them throughout their shopping experience, supports checkout and problem-solving, maintains transaction records and an accurate cash drawer, monitors inventory and showroom appearance, and coordinates warehouse orders so customers receive their orders promptly. The role does not supervise employees.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience.
Strong customer service background.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic and compute rates, ratios, and percentages, as well as draw and interpret graphs.
Ability to use Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, databases, and PowerPoint to support business objectives.
Ability to use moderately complex oral and written communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Prior automotive experience and knowledge of automotive parts.
Two to three years of prior customer service relations experience.

Responsibilities

Greet every customer upon arrival and maintain friendly contact throughout the shopping experience.
Use suggestive selling techniques at checkout when appropriate and assist with problem-solving.
Maintain orderly files, clean transaction records, and an accurate cash drawer.
Observe inventory changes to ensure minimum stock levels and an appropriate showroom appearance.
Coordinate orders from the warehouse to ensure customers’ orders are ready in a timely manner.
Assume other duties as assigned.
