About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring a seasonal team member for Sales, Customer Service, Stock, or Fulfillment. Team members work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, provide customers with a quick and easy experience, and help keep the store clean and organized. Employees may occasionally work in different areas of the store based on business needs. Candidates can discuss which role interests them during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service work includes maintaining and replenishing the sales floor, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting room operations, returning merchandise to the sales floor, organizing stockrooms, checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational and asset protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment work includes receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems, maintaining organized sales floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as preparing special events, markdowns, backroom organization, and relocating fixtures. The role requires continuous movement during shifts and handling merchandise, including lifting requirements that vary by department. The hourly pay range is $16.45–$17.15. Pay offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Requirements

Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
Ability to remain in continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain and replenish the sales floor through re-merchandising and straightening.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, including operating point-of-sale systems and bagging merchandise.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Keep customer areas clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning merchandise.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Use store technologies and follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner and prepare and ship orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, processing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
