About The Position

Nordstrom Rack team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and a quick, easy customer experience. Team members keep the store clean and clutter-free and may work in different areas of the store to maintain sales floors and stockrooms and assist customers. Available departments include Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment; candidates can discuss their preferred role during the interview. Sales and Customer Service work includes keeping the sales floor runway-ready through re-merchandising and straightening, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting rooms, organizing stockrooms, checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational and asset protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment work includes receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems to process and research shipments, maintaining clean and organized floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as event setup, markdowns, backroom organization, and fixture relocation. The position requires flexible scheduling based on business needs and substantial movement and merchandise handling.

Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and a quick, easy customer experience.
Keep the store clean and clutter-free, including sales floors and stockrooms.
Keep the sales floor runway-ready through re-merchandising and straightening.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using point-of-sale systems; bag items and handle bulky items.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Sort and return clothing to the sales floor.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and prepare and ship orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments according to inventory control processes.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating fixtures.
