About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal and regular team members for Customer Service, Sales, and Early Morning Stock roles at the Mall of Louisiana. Team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and provide customers with a quick, easy experience. Employees may work in different store areas as needed to assist customers and maintain clean, organized sales floors and stockrooms. The Early Morning Stock role has a 4 a.m. start time. Applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service team members keep the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening, assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, operate point-of-sale systems, and support fitting rooms. They also sort and return merchandise, keep stockrooms organized, check in and ticket merchandise accurately, use store technologies, follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards, and promote programs such as Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment team members receive, unload, unpack, and deliver merchandise; fulfill, pack, and ship customer orders to quality standards; and use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research shipments. They help keep sales floors and stockrooms organized and provide general store support, including setting up events, organizing backrooms, marking down merchandise, and relocating fixtures. The role involves continuous movement and frequent handling of merchandise. Pay is $15.30–$15.90 per hour, depending on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Ability to remain in continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, with frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with cashiering and in-store, online, and mobile transactions; operate point-of-sale systems, bag merchandise, and provide a friendly experience.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Sort and return clothing to keep the customer experience clean and clutter-free.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive, unload, unpack, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to packing and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments according to inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
