About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal team members for Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment. Team members work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, provide a quick and easy customer experience, and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may work in different store areas as needed. Applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service work includes keeping the salesfloor ready through re-merchandising and straightening; assisting with in-store, online, and mobile transactions; operating point-of-sale systems; bagging merchandise; supporting fitting rooms; sorting and returning clothing; organizing stockrooms; checking in and ticketing merchandise; using store technologies; following operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards; and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment work includes receiving and unloading freight, unpacking and delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems to process and research shipments, maintaining clean and organized floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as preparing events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The role requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift and frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and hand use. Employees regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds; Stock and Fulfillment employees frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Pay is $16.45–$17.15 per hour, depending on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Stock and Fulfillment employees must frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the salesfloor ready through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, including operating point-of-sale systems and bagging merchandise.
Support fitting rooms by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Keep customer areas clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning clothing.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Use store technologies and follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner and prepare and ship orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments.
Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating fixtures.
